We turn the live NOAA space-weather forecast into a plain-English aurora chance for your location, and guide you to the destinations where the lights are close to a sure thing.

How it works

• Live aurora activity comes from NOAA's planetary Kp forecast; we combine it with your latitude, darkness and moonlight to estimate tonight's chance.
• Destination guides are curated for real-world success rates, clear-sky odds and how easy they are to reach.
• Estimates are guidance — the aurora is unpredictable, so always check live data and local weather before travelling.
